The Living EducationTM Movement encompasses not only formal educational processes such as schools but also community revitalization. In a world where the education is fragmented and irrelevant to the students’ lives, where teenagers are seen as “problems”, where students are moving away from communities in order to find work, and where the land is being destroyed, a new philosophy of education is needed. Education needs to move away from being reactive and instead create processes where students and community members can create a world that is in harmony with the land and the community dream. Living EducationTM, LLC enables communities to come alive and make education inspiring again. The movement combines sustainable, holistic, place-based, expeditionary, and service-learning approaches to education in a way that creates a truly Regenerative Education indexing not only to the individual student but also to the community, place, and world.
